Maintenance Excellence Specialist

Reliability Engineer Role
Key responsibilities of this role include developing and optimizing maintenance strategies to reduce asset downtime and ensuring assets are maintained efficiently.
The role involves creating and embedding processes for maintenance strategy development, deployment, and continuous improvement initiatives to support planning, scheduling, and execution of maintenance across various assets.
This position requires championing reliability improvement initiatives and utilizing asset performance and diagnostics to improve performance and drive cost efficiencies.
Coordinate effective collaboration between Engineering, Maintenance, and Asset Services teams to ensure the outcomes of reliability analyses are included into maintenance strategies to drive production, reliability, safety, and environmental improvements.
Collaboration and Technical Expertise
Lead and coordinate collaboration between teams to drive reliability improvements.
Utilize Reliability Engineering techniques and Asset Management principles to drive improvement.
Support teams in developing, prioritizing, and seeking endorsement of optimized maintenance strategies for a portfolio of assets.
Once endorsed and approved, ensure that optimized maintenance strategies are loaded into Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) and converted into effective routines improving efficiency in the execution of maintenance tasks.
Maintenance Strategy Development
Develop, deploy, and continuously improve maintenance support information.
Ensure optimised planned maintenance tasks have necessary documentation developed and stored within Document Management Systems.
Work closely with stakeholders to manage maintenance documentation effectively, including identifying and closing gaps in maintenance information, ensuring document reviews are completed in a timely manner.
Develop tools and systems to track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) suitable for use on Visual Management boards.
Ensure data and information gathering occurs across assets to allow robust reliability analysis at business unit, system, and equipment level.
Coordinate Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA), Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for plant failures.
Monitor Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) of renewable assets, including equipment performance measurement against performance curves provided by OEMs.
Identify key downtime causes and effectively use downtime information to derive KPIs like Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF), Mean Time To Repair (MTTR), Reliability, Maintainability & Availability.
Provide useful information to input into Whole of Life asset plans to optimize asset performance and risk.
Requirements
Bachelor qualification in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or similar field.
Previous experience leading reliability improvement initiatives and developing maintenance documentation in power stations or similar industries is highly desirable.
Understanding of SAP as CMMS is highly desirable.
Familiarity with platforms like Power BI, OSI PI, Reliability, RCA, and Condition Monitoring software is desirable.
Strong leadership skills with ability to work effectively across sites and provide technical support to other business units within Gas and Renewables as required.
