We're seeking an exceptional Marketing/Fundraising Officer to sit on our Board and oversee our membership team of 4 to help us continue to grow and thrive as a leading wildlife rescue and rehabilitation organisation.
The Fundraising/Marketing Officer's role is primarily to build and lead a team to deliver marketing and fundraising goals set by the Board.
Responsibilities
Develop, implement, monitor and co-ordinate the team to deliver the Marketing/Fundraising plan in order to maximise revenue generation for SOWFI so that it can achieve its objectives each year
Recruit and chair a Marketing/Fundraising sub-committee
Market SOWFI to maintain its image and raise its profile
Dvelop, implement, monitor and co-ordinate the team to deliver the Marketing/Fundraising Plan
Actively develop relationships with potential sponsors
Contribute the growth of our subscriber list
Have oversight over all online activities including website, social media and other online content
Duties & Responsibilities of a Board Member
As soon as practicable after being appointed to the Board, the Fundraising Officer must become familiar with Save Our Wildlife Foundation's (SOWFI) constitution and the SA Associations Incorporation Act 1985.
The Board is collectively responsible for ensuring that SOWFI complies with the Act and its constitution.
Board members must exercise their powers and discharge their duties with reasonable care and diligence.
Board members must exercise their powers and discharge their duties
(a) in good faith in the best interests of the Association
(b) for a proper purpose.
Represent SOWFI in the general community and setting high standards of professional leadership and personal behaviour
Comply with the duties and obligations of an officer of the Association as are set out in the Act.
