**The Role**

The purpose of this role is to responsible for creating compelling short-form video content for SBS's digital platforms.

And for sourcing, shooting, producing and editing video content for social media and web

Reporting to Digital Content Lead, this role will see you use creative thinking and editorial judgement to create engaging video content in line with NITV's Digital Strategy that is appropriate for our audiences.

As part of this role you would:

- Create engaging short form videos from start to finish for the SBS website and NITV social platforms.
- Execute on video strategy to reach new audiences, deepen engagement and reach KPIs.
- Publish video content to multiple platforms (such as website, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn)
- Supporting the Digital Content Lead
- Plan the video content publishing schedule and work to agreed deadlines.
- Attend daily editorial planning meetings, pitch content ideas and provide insights on trends.
- Report back to the team with regular data and insights to inform on video performance and identify content opportunities.
- Provide input and support for NITV Digital social media strategy.
- Liaise where necessary with producers and reporters from all platforms to maximise their content opportunities for digital
- Ensure video content adheres to SBS' Editorial codes and guidelines and serves the SBS charter.

About you
- Experience and a passion for creating video for social media and or web, preferably in a news context.
- Demonstrated storytelling skills and an understanding of the digital and social media landscape, including trends in video.
- A readiness to pitch original ideas and the ability to identify stories that will make engaging and on-charter video content.
- Familiarity with Adobe suite (Photoshop, Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects).
- Skills in graphic design and animation are desired.
- Excellent eye for detail and able to work to tight deadlines.
- Good understanding of creative rights management.
