**About the Role**

An exciting opportunity exists for a suitably qualified person to join the Autism Advisor team. Advisors are the first point of contact when individuals or families contact the Association for information and/or our services. Autism Advisors are responsible for supporting families through the intake process, determining eligibility and answering general enquiries. A sound understanding of Autism supports and services across age ranges, the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) and Autism Association services is a key component of the role.

**About You**

We are looking for a full or part time Autism Advisor to join our small but passionate team at Shenton Park.

In this role, you will ideally have:

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, engaging with individuals with Autism, their families, and all other key stakeholders
- Demonstrated understanding of Autism and the challenges people with Autism and their families experience
- Cultural knowledge and understanding, which is reflective of the community
- Excellent active listening and problem solving skills
- Demonstrated computer literacy and experience with contemporary databases and systems.
- Ability to organise, plan and schedule own work independently, such as tracking progress of work plans and outcomes.
- Knowledge and experience of the NDIS
- Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team
