**The Role**

This is an exciting opportunity for a suitably qualified person to join our team as an Autism Advisor. Advisors are the first point of contact when individuals or families contact us for information and/or our services. As an Autism Advisor, you will be responsible for supporting families through the intake process, determining eligibility and answering general enquiries. A sound understanding of Autism supports and services across age ranges, the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) and our services is a key component of this role.

**Key Responsibilities**

You will ideally have:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, engaging with individuals with Autism, their families, and all other key stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated understanding of Autism and the challenges people with Autism and their families experience.
  • Cultural knowledge and understanding, which is reflective of the community.
  • Excellent active listening and problem solving skills.
  • Demonstrated computer literacy and experience with contemporary databases and systems.
  • Ability to organise, plan and schedule own work independently, such as tracking progress of work plans and outcomes.
  • Knowledge and experience of the NDIS.
  • Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team.
