To provide support and assistance in strategic direction in the areas of safety to the Regional Safety Manager and the site safety leads within the manufacturing sites. This includes supporting the development, implementation, and continual improvement in the areas of safety policies and procedures, workplace injury & illness prevention, facility security plans and compliance. Utilising the MDI process to embed the safety management system requirements will be key to this position's role.

**About the role**

Health and Safety
- Support the safety management systems to ensure all requirements are met.
- Support short
- and long-range strategic goals, organization objectives, policies, and procedures to achieve a world-class organization.
- Assists in the development of building a sustainable, comprehensive safety & security program.

Analysis
- Supports the Regional Safety Manager and Site Safety Leads to analyse safety statistics and other metrics to determine if the safety and security systems are effective.
- Monitors, evaluates, and provides frequent feedback on performance results through injury/illness summaries, monthly reports, conference calls, project updates, and annual audits.
- Assists in the communication and recommendation of strategies to senior management and plant management, as directed by the Regional Safety Manager.

Change Management and Culture
- Be a key change agent to help drive changes to safety culture.
- Supporting member of the Leadership Team and Production Management group, responsible for the implementation of employee awareness, best practice, and standard operating procedures.

**About you**
- Verifiable management experience in FMCG Manufacturing or Process Engineering, with relevant Tertiary qualification and a minimum of three year's OH&S industry experience.
- Demonstrates ability as a project manager and a team player with good organisational, people and communication skills (across multiple departments and all levels of personnel).
- Verifiable experience in implementation and ongoing management of a risk framework with an organization.
- Clearly demonstrates knowledge of Safety Management Systems, Manufacturing Processes, Quality Management Systems and Environmental Management Systems.
- Exhibits the ability to perform impact / aspect assessments to identify, assess and reduce risks and financial costs.
- Illustrates the ability to provide a professional coaching approach.
