Young, Australia Lfe Community Supports Full time

**DISABILITY SUPPORT WORKER - YOUNG NSW 2594**

LFE Community Supports provides intensive training and support (some 24:7) to people with challenged abilities; within people's own homes, the community and the Day Activity Centre's, in line with participant's NDIS goals and organisational policies.

**Essential Criteria**:

- High standard of communication skills including: computer; report writing; liaison/people
- Ability to train/teach
- Available to work all shifts
- Exponent of people's rights
- High level of self motivation and ethics
- High standard of interpersonal skills, including self awareness
- Ability to work unsupervised and within a team environment
- Willingness to undertake relevant courses/studies if required
- Assist with Personal Care when required.
- Full employment history; also include the year and level you completed your schooling.

**Licenses and checks needed**:

- Current driver's licence, access to a reliable and comprehensively insured motor vehicle
- Satisfactory RMS Driving Record - to be provided
- Have or willing to obtain a First Aid Certificate
- NDIS Worker Clearance Screening - All successful applicants are required to obtain this clearance prior to commencement of the role. This is a mandatory clearance for the disability industry. More information can be found at Services NSW or you can speak to our HR team on 63801601

**Desirable criteria**:

- Knowledge of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)
- Knowledge of Disability Service Standards; Disability Services Act; Cultural Diversity; EEO & WHS
- Experience in the field
- Certificate III / IV Disabilities, or relevant qualification
- Additional skills, e.g. Auslan, specialist hobbies

**Conditions of Employment**
- As per Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award 2010
- Subject to completion of satisfactory 6 month trial period
- LFE recruits by EEO principles and practices
- Covid 19 Vaccination
