**The Opportunity**
This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated Contract Assistant to join Australia's Defence Prime contractor, in ensuring the highest standards of contract delivery and compliance across all In Service Support (ISS) & Acquisition Agreements. Based in Naval Base, WA, you will report to the Contracts Manager to support delivery of the contracts, while assisting the Contract Administrators and Contracts Manager with applicable contract obligations as well as ensuring all contractual and commercial risks are understood, managed, and adhered to in all instances.
Ensuring all internal and external stakeholders are informed of contract status outcomes in a timely manner, is key to ensure compliance with all relevant contractual obligations. The ability to work in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities across multiple contracts, will require highly developed organisational skills and attention to detail in all completed tasks.
**What's involved**
- The ability to interpret and administer contract documents as well as draft and respond to contractual correspondence.
- Maintain, update, and oversee various contract registers as well as preparing and submitting CDRL's, ECP's and CCP's and any other reports in a timely and accurate manner to ensure strict deadlines are met.
- Attend contract meetings with internal and external stakeholders ensuring that accurate meeting agendas and minutes are circulated as required.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure operational efficiency as required.
- Develop and manage all internal and external stakeholder relationships effectively, supported by superior communication skills to inform on performance status, issues, impacts, risk and change.
- Assist with the preparation of content for all monthly/quarterly/annual performance reviews as required.
- Complete assigned ad hoc general tasks and any project works as required.

**You'll need**
**_ Essential_**
- Good time management skills and the ability to adapt to changing workloads
- Strong understanding of contractual requirements as well as associated risks.
- Excellent communication skills and proven stakeholder management ability.
- Strong customer focus with well-developed analytical abilities.
- Proven competency in Microsoft Office suite
**_ Desirable_**
- Experience working in performance-based contracts or maintenance activities related to Maritime or Defence sectors.
- Knowledge of Australian defence's Capability Acquisition and Sustainment Group (CASG) contract mechanisms.
