**ABOUT THIS ROLE**

Our client is seeking a motivated Project Cost Controller to fulfil a position within a highly renowned maritime sustainment company. The purpose of this position is to setup a cost report and demonstrate financial status of projects via integration of scope, budgets, purchase orders and billing status.

Positions available in Sydney and port Macquarie

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Provision of project Cost Estimates for Naval Projects.
- Preparation of bids, selection of vendors / sub-contractors and determining cost effectiveness.
- Provision of supply cost, transportation, design and start-up estimates.
- Preparing presentation / reporting formats for estimate information as required.
- Promptly load tasks into cost report upon finalisation of work packages in ship's Stock Control & Planning.
- Load budgets from Cost Models into cost report and update changes promptly.
- Assess quotes against approved budgets and seek additional funding where applicable.
- Investigate cost, purchase orders, budget and invoicing discrepancies. Communicate to applicable personnel for correction where applicable.

**SKILLS & EXPERINECE NEEDED**
- Ability to obtain and maintain an Australian Defence Security Clearance to NV1
- Good communication skills across business internally and with suppliers and client
- cost controller experience in a diverse range of projects and industries Strong excel and ERP skills
- Ability to integrate and reconcile data from various systems
- Prior experience as a cost accountant/cost analyst/cost controller would be a bonus
