**Cost Controller - NSW Government**

A Cost Controller is required by a NSW Government department based in Macquarie Park + WFH (hybrid) on an initial 6-month contract with likely ongoing extensions.
- **Location: Macquarie Park + WFH (hybrid)**:

- **Hours: Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week**:

- **Pay Rate: $750 - $830 per day + Super**:

- **Contract Length: 6 months with likely ongoing extensions**

**Primary Purpose of the Role**:
As the Cost Controller, you will provide timely & rigorous cost performance monitoring, analysis, control & reporting across projects & programs in accordance with approved cost management & control standards, frameworks & procedures.

**Key Accountabilities**:

- Implement & maintain the project cost control plan
- Assist in managing & updating the project cost forecasts for the current financial year
- Provide appropriate time phasing for the financial year & project life forecast aligned to the project schedule
- Support the administration of the project's change control process
- Provide detailed & regular ad-hoc cost performance reports for the project performance team

**About You**:

- Demonstrated experience in cost management or equivalent management responsibility in a high-risk environment
- In depth understanding of cost risk management strategies & practices
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement & communication skills
- Strong ability to influence, coach & communicate cost management concepts to people with limited knowledge in these areas
