We pride ourselves on our fun, contemporary and authentic menu that showcases local produce and international favourites.Mr Good Guy is looking for a Demi Chef to join our team, help us celebrate the notion of Asian street food with a modern, urban twist at Mr Good Guy in Devonport
Join us, and become a HeartistJob DescriptionAssist senior Chefs with menu preparation and ensure adequate supplies are available for expected serviceMaintain excellent presentation standards and cost control Assist with the implementation and maintenance of programs to ensure high standards of cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen Be a leader for the team by setting a positive exampleSupervision of the kitchen in the absence of the Head chef or allocated Chefs.
Delegate duties and responsibilities to kitchen employees to ensure service demands are metAssist with minimising food wasteQualificationsPrevious experience in a similar role, preferably within a hotel industryTrade qualification in commercial cookery or equivalentLeadership experience within a professional kitchen environmentDemonstrated experience with dietary requirements and creating menus to suit those needsStrong knowledge of food hygiene, HACCP management, and compliance with local health and safety regulationsA Food Safety Supervisor certificate is desiredExcellent communication and leadership skillsCreative culinary mind, up to date on local and international food trendsAbility to work closely with suppliers to source the best quality productsHigh levels of organization and time management skillsFlexibility to work varied shifts including mornings, evenings, weekends, and public holidays Full Australian work rights must be held to be considered for this positionAdditional InformationIn return we will offer you...ALL Heartist Membership - Take advantage of discounts on accommodation and food & beverage worldwide
