A fantastic opening is available for an experienced CSSD Manager to join the Sterilising Services at a private hospital in Melbourne. This is a full-time position.

ABOUT THE POSITION
As a key member of the team, you will work under the direction and collaboratively with the Perioperative Manager with responsibility for the day-to-day operational direction of the department.You will collaborate to coordinate the daily delivery of exceptional service that is evidence-based and of a high standard consistent with AS/NZS 4187-2014 and infection control guidelines.

As the CSSD Manager, your
respons
ibilities
will include:
Overseeing a high standard of evidence-based Sterilization services to the operating theatre and other clinical departments within the hospital; As the CSSD Manager, you will be adhering to Australian College of Operating Room Nurses (ACORN) standards and plan, assess, implement, and evaluate the cleaning, sterilization, and packing of hospital instruments; Providing clinical leadership - providing direction, support, supervision, teaching, and specific clinical specialty direction for CSSD Technicians.
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS Essential criteria:Current Registration with AHPRA;
Certificate IV in Sterilisation/Training and Assessment (preferred); Extensive experience in Theatre; Current or recent experience as a Senior Instrument Technician in a management role; Sound knowledge of accreditation standards ACHS/AS/NZ 4187 Standards and HICMR; Consultative leadership style and sound negotiation skills are vital; Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills with exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail; An interest in promoting best practice patient care and a strong sense of customer service; A focus on professional development.EMPLOYEE BENEFITS

ABOUT THE FACILITY
The hospital is a 124-bed facility located in Melbourne, offering highly specialised services, including extensive neurosurgery, neurology, advanced coronary care, cardiothoracic, orthopaedic, and general surgery. A 10-bed intensive care unit, 4-bed acute coronary care unit, and 6-bed neurosurgical high dependency unit support these services.
