WHAT YOU WILL LEAD AND GROW
- Reporting to the Site Manager, this CSSD Sterilising Services Manager position, will lead the reprocessing services for this world-class facility in Melbourne.
- The position requires someone to operate the sterilising and reprocessing services function, to meet customer requirements and expectations, and manage equipment service, maintenance and validation programs.
- The role will support and manage organisational risk and the quality management system.
- You will need to be a strong leader as you will have a team reporting to you and you will be responsible for human resource management including performance reviews, competency-based assessments and recruitment and selection of your team.
- You will understand compliance with Work Health & Safety legislation, policy and organisational objectives, and contribute to the development and review of policies and procedures.
- You will facilitate work practice reviews to ensure service adherence to current AS/NZS 4187 standards and legislative compliance and provide accurate and timely reporting of performance indicators and management of critical incidents and events.

WHAT EXPERIENCE & SKILLS WILL YOU NEED TO GET THE JOB?
- You will have worked within CSSD in a hospital and ideally you will have Cert III or IV in Sterilising Technology or equivalent work experience in CSSD in hospital(s) with leadership experience.
- Experience in the management of large sterilising services departments, in a hospital/hospitals, with demonstrated capability in delivering successful certification and accreditation outcomes.
- Knowledge of legislation, regulatory requirements, professional standards, and guidelines relevant to a CSSD (accreditation standards).
- Excellent interpersonal, leadership and communication skills with the ability to foster a positive and motivated team approach.
- Computer literacy.
- An understanding of the financial aspects within CSSD.
