As a Support Centre Coordinator, you'll oversee the day-to-day operations of a Vinnies Support Centre, a welcoming space that provides essential assistance, referral services and community connection to people doing it tough.
This is a leadership role where you'll guide volunteers, support clients with complex needs and work alongside community partners to deliver meaningful impact.
This is a 6 month contract position at SCHADS award level 4.1.Your Responsibility Lead the daily operations of the Support Centre, ensuring high-quality client services.
Manage and support a team of volunteers and staff, fostering a positive, collaborative environment.
Coordinate emergency relief activities including food pantry, vouchers, and referrals.
Work directly with clients, assessing needs, offering support and connecting them to appropriate services.
Build strong community partnerships with local organisations, government services, and healthcare providers.
Ensure compliance with WHS, food safety, and financial assistance policies.
Report on centre activities and contribute to strategic and operational planning.
You Will Need Tertiary qualifications in social sciences, welfare, psychology, education or a related field.
Experience working with disadvantaged communities and strong assessment skills.
Proven ability to lead and motivate staff and volunteers.
Strong communication and organisational skills.
Experience managing volunteers and delivering training.
Computer literacy and effective time management skills.
A current NSW Driver Licence.
