Join our strong and thriving team.The OpportunityReporting to the Supply & Logistics Manager, you will play a pivotal role in developing and executing strategic category and contract management initiatives across all Stanmore assets.
Your efforts will improve and secure the supply chain, mitigate risks, and unlock cost savings to give us a competitive edge.Based in Brisbane, this senior role offers mentorship opportunities within a flexible, collaborative, and high-performing team.
You will support tasks related to procurement, contracts, commercial, and stakeholder management across various strategic categories.Key Responsibilities:Develop, implement, and manage category management strategies across all assets for opex and capex requirements.Ensure commercial value and supply security in critical operational categories.Create category plans and oversee contract execution, understanding legal terms related to procurement and supply agreements.Analyze market developments, spend trends, and supplier performance to identify improvement opportunities and savings.Develop sourcing strategies and manage industry engagement from sourcing to award, demonstrating negotiation and problem-solving skills.Collaborate with stakeholders to design product groups that maximize value and streamline delivery.Provide strategic guidance to shape effective sourcing strategies and drive procurement excellence.Create work plans aligned with business strategy, procurement processes, and workload.Support governance, approvals, risk management, and compliance standards.What You Bring:Minimum 10 years of experience in category management, contracts management, or senior procurement roles within mining, resources, or heavy industry sectors.Bachelor's degree in commerce, law, supply chain, or related field.Strong communication skills and ability to build rapport with stakeholders at all levels, including supplier relationship management.Deep knowledge of contract law, procurement legislation, and ability to negotiate complex contractual terms.Proven track record of managing high-value, high-risk contracts under tight deadlines.Experience with SAP is preferred.Flexible work options available.Attractive salary and bonus package.We are an agile organization focused on continuous improvement.Unlock job insightsSalary match | Number of applicants | Skills matchPlease include any additional relevant details if reporting this job as fraudulent, misleading, or discriminatory.
