Working as part of the Senior Management Team, you will be responsible for working collaboratively with the CEO, Directors and other Managers to drive and inform evidence based public policy, help build a collegiate, robust and supportive organisational culture, to advise and support the Senior Leadership Team in the development and implementation of policy, to develop strong partnerships with a wide range of stakeholders and work closely with a range of government partners.
Respect Victoria
Respect Victoria was established as a Statutory Authority under the Prevention of Family Violence Act 2018 (the Act) on 4 October 2018. We have a broad focus on the primary prevention of all forms of violence against women and family violence in Victoria, and work collaboratively with stakeholders to provide statewide leadership to create social, institutional, organisational and community change.
Essential experience and skills
- Demonstrated experience in leading change or strategy within the prevention of family violence/violence against women sector of at least five years
- Demonstrated experience in leading policy development or policy thought leadership, including experience in the production of high-quality policy position papers, briefings, and reports
- Demonstrated experience in staff management, leadership and team development

Desirable skills and experience
- Demonstrated experience in prevention of family violence/violence against women in a Victorian context
- Project management and contract management experience

Essential expertise
- Specialist knowledge and expertise in the prevention of family violence/violence against women
- An understanding of key levers in government and civil society to influence policy direction and drive change

Desirable expertise
- Relevant expertise in or exposure to a government context
