Business Partnering Operate as a strategic partner to Business Leaders to assist them and their leadership team to deliver effective workforce solutions across the full employee life cycle.Support, coach and mentor leaders and provide feedback to build internal HR capability to manage staffing issues and help improve business efficiency.
Provide accurate, supportive, and pragmatic contemporary advice on all aspects of HR.
Empower business leaders to manage people issues.
Partner with the business leaders to provide support for change management initiatives, including consultation and engagement with unions.
Foster a high-performance culture across the business group through the provision of effective case management and advice.
Proactively plan for current and future workforce needs in partnership with the business leader, ensuring a strong focus on values alignment, workforce engagement, and a culture of accountability Interpret and apply policy to achieve specified outputs or advise the wider business on application of policy.
Lead administrative tasks and ensure data accuracy during the transition to a new HRIS, with support from the People Coordinator, to maintain continuity of HR processes and reporting.Provide regular, accurate and timely people reports including analysis of trends and metrics in partnership with the business group to develop and recommend solutions and programs.
Act as a local point of people expertise for specialist teams that are implementing new people approaches.
Provides guidance and input on business unit restructures, workforce planning and succession planning.
Attend business groups regular operational and/or management meetings to actively become part of the leadership team.
Visit, spend time and work with business groups at their business location/s.
Bring people expertise and develop solutions to help the business area to deliver it strategy.
Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues, Conducts effective thorough and objective investigations where required.
Identifies training needs for business units and individual executive coaching needs.
Participates in evaluation and monitoring of success of training programs.
Follows-up to ensure training objectives are met.
Work as part of a collaborative team where the focus is on HR providing the highest quality service to our customers including assisting other team members when required.
Your Background (Skills and attributes) Minimum 3 years' experience in a HR Business Partnering or related role with broad experience in providing HR advice.
Strong HR generalist skills, with demonstrated ability to support he full employee life cycle.Strong understanding of HR practices, processes, and systems including employee and industrial relations (Fair Work Act, NES).
Experience interpreting and applying Pre-Modern Awards, Modern Awards, and Enterprise AgreementsProven ability to coach, mentor and advise others, including senior stakeholders.Effective conflict resolution and grievance management experience, including performance and disciplinary processes.Strong strategic advisory skills, with the ability assess risk, solve complex problems and m ake sound judgements.Business acumen in the Disability sector with a focus on advancing organisational goals.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to build collaborative relationships across all levels.Negotiation and persuasion capability to drive positive outcomes.Experience managing external relationships such as unions.High level data literacy, including the ability to interpret dashboards and track metrics to support business outcomes.
People leadership and change management skills.
Requirements A current NDIS Worker Screening and Working with Children Check.The ability and relevant driver's license to perform travel to services across Melba.Compliance with OHS&W regulations, legislation, and Policies and Procedures is required.
