Subcontracts Specialist

We are seeking motivated Subcontracts Specialists for an exciting opportunity to join the MQ-28 Ghost Bat Program:
As a subcontracts specialist supporting the MQ-28 Program, you will manage and administer high-value subcontracts, ensuring compliance and managing supplier relationships, with responsibilities including sourcing, contract negotiation, and post-award administration.

Key position duties include:

- conduct pre-award sourcing activities and manage procurements;
- Review proposals, negotiate contractual documentation, and recommend suppliers; and
- Manage contract execution and administration, including supplier relationship and performance management.

**The Opportunity -**

In partnership with the ADF and the Commonwealth, Boeing Defence Australia (BDA) provides aircraft maintenance and upgrades, component maintenance solutions, technical support, mission-critical infrastructure support and training on some of the most capable surveillance, command, control, and combat platforms in the world.

BDA are looking for **Subcontracts Specialists** to join our growing MQ-28 Ghost Bat Program Supply Chain Management team, With the support of industry experts and working as part of a cross functional team, the successful applicant will draw on previous experience to ensure effective market engagement and subcontract management on vital Defence programs.

This role can be based at Williamtown, Brisbane, or Melbourne, with the potential to be based in Toowoomba in future.

As a **Subcontract Specialist** within BDA, you will
- Engage with internal stakeholders;
- Maintain currency of existing subcontracts including negotiating and implementing complex subcontract variations;
- Manage existing subcontracts and promote subcontractor collaboration to ensure on time performance and compliance;
- Develop practical and efficient solutions to complex procurement and subcontracts issues;
- Identify and develop appropriate sourcing strategies and approaches to market for goods and services;
- Prepare, negotiate and execute contract documentation in accordance with delegations of authority;
- Manage subcontractor invoicing compliance and reporting;
- Participate in risk identification and mitigation planning; and
- Ensure compliance with supply chain management corporate governance policies and procedures.

**About you**

To be considered for the role you will have:

- Three (3) to five (5) years' work experience in contracts management or procurement;
- Relevant Bachelor's degree in law, business or commerce (desirable);
- Effective written and verbal communications skills;
- Good working knowledge of the responsibilities and tasks performed across contracting and procurement and their interdependencies with other departments and disciplines (for example, engineering, logistics, finance); and
- A willingness to work in a team environment.
