Subcontract Specialist Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Subcontract Specialist to play a key role in our contracting and procurement team.

  • The successful candidate will engage with internal stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Maintaining currency of existing subcontracts, negotiating complex subcontract variations, and promoting subcontractor collaboration to ensure on-time performance and compliance.
  • Developing practical solutions to complex procurement and subcontracts issues.
  • Identifying sourcing strategies and approaches to market for goods and services.
  • Preparing, negotiating, and executing contract documentation.
  • Managing subcontractor invoicing compliance and reporting.
  • Participating in risk identification and mitigation planning.

To be successful in this role, you will require three to five years' work experience in contracts management or procurement.

You will need a relevant Bachelor's degree in law, business, or commerce, as well as strong written and verbal communication skills.

A willingness to work in a team environment is also essential.

Please note that applicants must be Australian Citizens to meet Defence security requirements.

Additionally, you may require a Foreign Work Authorisation (FWA) to commence in this position.
