Due to increased demand within our business, SYPAQ is seeking an
ICT Security Specialist
to work on a Defence project. This can be a permanent role with SYPAQ Systems or a long-term contract. The role offers an immediate start and requires presence at the client site in Canberra.
Overview
The ICT Security Specialist will work independently with a reasonable degree of autonomy and accountability for achieving outcomes. The role involves applying policy, practices, and procedures, providing detailed security advice, and supporting complex work documentation.
Duties May Include
Authoring and maintaining ICT security artefacts such as System Overview Document, Security Plan, Risk Management Plan, Standard Operating Procedures, and other security documentation.
Building and maintaining relationships with project and product managers to support cybersecurity, governance, risk, and compliance activities, including developing and reviewing procedural documentation.
Providing cybersecurity guidance throughout the Assessment & Authorization (A&A) lifecycle to stakeholders such as System Owners, Security Assessors, and Product Managers.
Preparing documentation and reports as required by the Cyber Security Assessment and Authorization (CSAA) framework and capability review boards.
Essential Criteria
Experience and/or industry certification in a cybersecurity, governance, risk, or compliance field (e.g., CISSP, CISM, ISO27001, CRISC).
Knowledge of security management as per the Defence Security Principles Framework (DSPF).
Experience applying the Australian Cyber Security Centre's (ACSC) Information Security Manual (ISM).
The successful applicant must be an Australian Citizen with an active Negative Vetting 1 or higher Security Clearance.
