Rubix has just been awarded a number of new resourcing requirements for a new NBN project. Contract or permanent roles

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Service Locator to join our team working on the National Broadband Network (NBN) in South Australia. The Service Locator will be responsible for locating and identifying underground utility services including telecommunications, electricity, water, and gas in order to support the installation of NBN infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conducting site inspections to identify potential underground services that may impact NBN installation
- Locating and marking the position of underground services using specialised equipment and techniques
- Interpreting and analysing utility plans to identify potential conflicts with NBN infrastructure
- Collaborating with other teams to ensure a safe working environment and mitigate potential risks
- Maintaining accurate records and documentation of all site activities
- Providing recommendations and solutions to overcome any challenges or issues that may arise during the installation process
- Adhering to all relevant health and safety policies and procedures

**Requirements**:

- Minimum of 2 years of experience in underground service locating
- Strong understanding of telecommunications and other utility services
- Experience working on NBN projects is highly desirable
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Current driver's license
