Chevron Australia Downstream is seeking to appoint an Associate Specialist, Property who will be responsible for the security of tenure for an area of the property portfolio and identify tenure extension requirements, managing any related legal & contract documentation, as appropriate. Reporting to the Asset Optimization Manager, this exciting opportunity will be based in our Brisbane Head Office with regular intrastate travel.

**Responsibilities for the position include, but are not limited to**:

- Ownership of property management tasks to ensure lease adherence including the management of market rent reviews, make good obligations, escalated R&M matters, and lease interpretations.
- Improve property returns and enhance Chevron's ability to serve its customers.
- Assist in the development and updating of a property database and the finance department to ensure correctness of tenure details and rental and outgoings, to eliminate unintended tenure expiries and to minimize property related expense.
- Manage the retail capital investment plan for company owned assets (COCO, CORO) within assigned area.
- Assist in Class of Trade conversions
- Responsible for sale, negotiations, and security of approvals of all surplus properties.
- Manage all land-related issues with governing authorities to ensure that existing Chevron-owned facilities meet all regulatory requirements and take cognizance of any future government plans.

**Knowledge, skills and experience**:

- Experience within retail property management discipline with a knowledge of fuel preferred.
- Strong understanding of leasing arrangements
- Strong negotiations skills
- Outstanding customer service and problem-solving skills
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision
- Preferred tertiary qualifications in a related property business preferred
