**JOB SUMMARY**
- NEW_ Exciting opportunity for a newly qualified graduate interested in a career within the Family Violence sector who has a demonstrated ability and interest in developing the appropriate advanced skills and knowledge.

**THE ROLE**
- To establish and strengthen linkages and protocols with government and non-government agencies.
To Identify and assess all levels of family violence risk.
Provides high quality, safe and effective responses to women, children and families seeking support and safety from family violence.
To work within The Orange Door network as part of a multi-disciplinary team of practitioners to maintain an effective and responsive service.
Will provide the graduate with support and guidance to develop their skills and knowledge for the role of Hub Practitioner.

**THE IDEAL CANDIDATE** - what you will bring.
- An understanding of the social and political issues impacting women and children escaping family violence.
The ability to engage people who are experiencing or have experienced family violence.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment to receive referrals into the Orange Door program and actively engage in crisis response, intake and initial assessment.
Valid Victorian Driver's Licence |Working with Children Check |Police Check
A tertiary qualification is required in Social Work (preferred) or appropriate qualification, as per Royal Commission Recommendation 209 - Mandatory Minimum Qualifications for Specialist FV Workers and experience relevant to this position.
