Urgent Care Physician

We're looking for a board-certified physician with broad clinical expertise and a passion for improving healthcare access and quality.
You'll provide care to patients of all ages across a wide range of conditions, maintain accurate and current patient records, and work collaboratively with our provider and support teams.
You should have at least 3 years of post-residency experience in high-volume Urgent Care or Primary Care settings.

Responsibilities:Perform age-appropriate history and virtual examinations, evaluate, diagnose, recommend treatment plan and document findings appropriately and timelyDeliver high quality patient care while maintaining safetyDocument medical information of patients and review patient history at each visitRequest consultation or referral with other health care providers when appropriateCounsel and educate patientsOrder and interpret diagnostic tests as neededEvaluate, triage and manage pediatric and adult patients for acute care, and have experience with chronic disease management and mental health conditionsActively maintain knowledge of current medical research and trendsProvide administrative support or cross-coverage for reviewing laboratory test resultsScheduling flexibility to include evenings and weekendsRequired QualificationsCompletion of a 3-year Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Emergency Medicine residency3+ years post residency experience in a fast paced Urgent Care or Primary Care outpatient settingActive ABMS or AOA Board Certification in Family Medicine or dual boarded Internal Medicine + PediatricsCompletion of U.S. Medical Licensing ExaminationActive and unrestricted state medical license in at least one state; residing in an IMLC state is requiredExperience and comfort providing care for all ages, newborn to adult populationsAbility to function within an integrated medical practiceExtensive breadth of clinical expertiseExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsDemonstrable proficiency with technologyNot under current exclusion or sanction by any state or federal health care program, including Medicare or Medicaid, and is not identified as an "excluded person" by the Office of Inspector General of the Department of Health and Human Services or the General Service Administration (GSA), or reprimanded or sanctioned by MedicareMust maintain Medicare active statusPreferred Qualifications:Multistate licensureTelemedicine or virtual care experience with video based visitsExperience with Athena EMRExperience and interest in supervising Nurse practitionersPhysical/Cognitive Requirements:Prompt and regular attendance at assigned work location.Ability to remain seated in a stationary position for prolonged periods.Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate keyboard, computer and other office-related equipment.No heavy lifting is expected, though occasional exertion of about 20 lbs.
of force (e.g., lifting a computer / laptop) may be required.Ability to interact with leadership, employees, and members in an appropriate manner.Shift ObligationsAn average of 20 clinical shift hours per weekWeekday shifts are scheduled between the hours of3a-7a pst1p-5p pst8p-11p pstWeekend shifts: Every other weekend, Saturday AND Sunday, 8 hours/day, 3a-11p PSTDay/Evening rotation every other weekendHoliday shifts: 2 per calendar yearPlease only proceed to apply if you are comfortable with the contractual scheduling requirementsPart-Time: 20hrs/wk min - $108.17 per hour on average with guaranteed base + benefits.
