A large Queensland Government department is seeking a Maintenance Plan Advisor to support the effective upkeep of school facilities across the state. This role focuses on data-driven planning, safety, efficiency, and long-term sustainability of building assets, with collaboration across stakeholders.
Responsibilities
Develop and manage maintenance plans that ensure compliance, safety, and efficiency.
Analyse and interpret data to inform short and long-term maintenance strategies.
Collaborate with school staff and stakeholders, providing clear guidance and practical advice.
Identify and address inefficiencies in processes, implementing continuous improvements.
Undertake regular travel, including week-on/week-off arrangements, with a base in Brisbane.
Skills & Experience
Strong background in building maintenance processes and asset management systems.
High attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage a wide range of stakeholders.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and related business systems.
Ability to analyse data and apply logical reasoning to balance competing priorities.
Valid Blue Card and ability to obtain a criminal history check (mandatory).
Previous experience in school or building maintenance highly regarded.
The Offer
AO6 level contract, Brisbane-based with regular travel requirements.
Week-on/week-off regional travel arrangement.
