To be successful in this role you must lead by example. It all starts with developing our team and ensuring they are truly valued.

In this role you will report directly to the General Manager and be responsible for the professional and cost effective running of the Housekeeping department. You will ensure there are high standards of cleanliness in guest rooms, public areas and back of house. You will need to form strong relationships with all Department Managers and work with them to provide a high level product, with the highest priority on Guest Service.

**Duties**
- Overseeing the cleaning of guestrooms and public areas ensuring that standards of cleanliness and guest comfort are maintained.
- Ensuring that all rooms are inspected before check in
- Establishing and maintaining cost control systems for staff, linen inventories, cleaning and guest supplies.
- Ensuring that room cleaning productivity is monitored closely and maintained
- Working closely with the Hotel's laundry to ensure a high standard of laundering is maintained & costs are controlled
- Liaising with Front Desk and Maintenance in regard to readiness of rooms with particular attention to guest's special requirements
- Effectively manage projects and negotiating with contractors and suppliers to ensure the Hotel's needs are met
- Responsible for recruitment, disciplinary procedures, performance evaluations, training and development of all housekeeping staff & development of the Housekeeping leadership team.

**Skills & Experience**
- Previous Housekeeping (Supervisor or Management) experience within a hotel setting
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Efficient time management skills and able to manage competing priorities
- Genuine commitment to guest service and excellent attention to detail
- Enjoy working within a diverse team, and autonomously
- Weekend availability essential.
