AGL's Integrated Energy group have an opportunity for an Environment Advisor to join and help to deliver the Liddell Site Transition for the safe and sustainable retirement, decommissioning, demolition, rehabilitation and remediation of Liddell Power Station and other AGL Macquarie assets.
As AGL's operational assets transition to enable our ambitious goal of 5GW by 2030 and 12GW of renewable capacity and firming, you will be at the forefront of enabling this through the safe and compliant transition of our Liddell Power Station and other assets across the region.
What you'll be doing:
- Assisting in developing the AGL Macquarie rehabilitation and remediation strategy.
- Supporting project compliance against relevant approvals, licencing and permitting.
- Providing support across the Liddell Transition Team around environmental management practice.
- Coordinating, scheduling and delivering monitoring required for compliance, due diligence and planning approvals.
What you'll bring:
- Bachelor's degree in environmental science, environmental engineering or equivalent.
- Practical understanding of NSW planning and regulatory framework for State Significant Developments.
- Demonstrated experience in operational compliance on large-scale projects.
- Collaborative and solutions-focused to multidisciplinary and complex environmental projects.
