Operational since 1999, Bengalla is in Muswellbrook in the Hunter Valley, and supplies international markets with approximately 11 Mtpa Product Coal.

Bengalla is an open cut coal mine offering a residential lifestyle. The development consent for the operation provides the ability to mine through to 2039. We pride ourselves on the professionalism with which we pursue our goals and our strong links into our community.

**The Opportunity**

Due to operational growth, we are seeking a** Reliability Advisor** for the CHPP to improve safety, availability, reliability and cost efficiency.

The CHPP Reliability Advisor is a key technical resource within the CHPP Maintenance team and works across all areas of the CHPP. Reporting to the CHPP Maintenance Superintendent, their primary objective is to use their technical knowledge to improve reliability and availability through analysis of equipment performance data, in-field verification and the completion of reliability / defect elimination projects.

This is a permanent full-time position working a Monday-Friday dayshift roster.

**Responsibilities**
- Provide technical support to maintenance planning and execution teams through active field engagement with technicians and key stakeholders
- Identify defects through the analysis of technical reports, downtime events and failure data
- Assess, prioritise and manage reliability and defect elimination projects to deliver improvements in safety, availability, reliability and cost
- Review component strip reports and conduct failure analysis so that condition monitoring tactics can be developed and/or refined
- Monitor and review the effectiveness of the existing tactics through close collaboration with the CHPP team and other key stakeholders within the CHPP Department
- Provide technical support input into the shutdown planning process and scope
- Provide technical support for Off-Site Repairs (OSR) team regarding component rebuild, repair and replacement scopes
- Support the infrastructure team with reliability/ condition monitoring functions***

**Qualifications and experience**

To be successful in this role you will have:

- Mechanical/electrical trade qualification
- Tertiary engineering or asset management qualifications will be highly regarded but not essential
- Previous CHPP maintenance experience within the mining environment
- Previous exposure to a Maintenance Management system (Pulse experience would be advantageous but not essential)
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage and influence all levels of the business
