About usNLS is NSW's number-one provider of sports coaches for schools, clubs, OSHC and Councils.We have positions all over Melbourne & surrounding suburbs.We are looking for Martial Arts coaches to join our team in several different forms such as Jiu-Jitsu, Judo, Karate, Taekwondo, Boxing, Boxercise, Self Defence, etc.All of our coaches must have (or be willing to apply for) a current Working with Children check.
Coaching experience isn't necessary (although it is preferred) but a good knowledge and playing experience of the sport is required.ScheduleWe have morning (6.30AM - 9AM), in-school time (9AM - 3PM) and after-school (3PM - 5PM) positions available.
Both midweek and weekend work are available and we also have programs across the school holidays.Qualifications & ExperienceMartial Arts coaching / competing experienceWorking with Children Check - WWCC (Paid) *relevant to state or territoryChild Protection Training (Preferred)First Aid + CPR Training (Preferred)Tasks & ResponsibilitiesMartial Arts CoachingAttend and conduct all training sessionsBeing Reliable and OrganisedAdditional Skills & AbilitiesKnowledge of standard coaching practicesInterpersonal skills to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships & communicate clearly & effectively with students, staff, administrators, and at times parents / guardiansAbility to exercise sound judgment and handle confidential matters with tact and diplomacy, and to maintain confidentiality of information as needed or to protect the rights of individual studentsAbility to communicate with an ethnically and culturally diverse community
