**The Role**
Autism SA is looking for an optimistic Support Worker who is passionate about providing high-quality services to clients. The young person has a special interest in mechanics and fixing broken scooters and bikes. They also like spending time at skate parks and going on hikes at nearby reserves.
The hours will be limited to approximately **10 hours a week** at the beginning to build rapport with the young person as the young person struggles to engage with new people. Hours would likely eventually increase to **20 hours a week.**
**What you will need to succeed**:
- Experience in supporting people with autism
- Experience in supporting people to achieve their goals and outcomes
- Experience supporting clients in their home and the community

- Availability to work during school hours and some after school hours work may also be required
**Essential requirements**:
- Minimum of Certificate III in Individual Support, Community Services, Disability or Certificate IV in Youth Work OR qualifications or/and relevant industry/personal experience will also be considered
