The Security Automation team is a newly created unit within Cybersecurity, tasked with Identifying opportunities for automation within the wider Cybersecurity team context, with managing, maintaining, and uplifting existing security tooling and assisting with developing new capabilities.

The Security Automation Manager will drive both incrementation and transformational change to mature the cyber security automation capability through the delivery of key services, technologies, and processes.

About the team:
- Ensuring that the key security platforms are continually tuned, integrated with the change / release cycles and the continual creation of new automation capability.- Getting hands on and developing automation capabilities for AGL.- Conduct technical workshops with stakeholders to identify & implement automation opportunities.- Designing, maintenance and management of tools for automation of different operational processes.- Liaising with internal departments on projects and tasks.- Using SOAR products for the automation of repetitive process in helping analysts achieving efficiencies in triage and analysis, guided by SOC operational playbooks for automated SOC operations.

About the role:
- Nurture and provide leadership to the direct report within the team.- Maintain and provide continual improvement across a wide array of existing security tooling.- Attend and conduct technical workshops with stakeholders to identify & implement automation opportunities.- Designing, maintenance and management of tools for automation of different operational processes.- Liaising with internal departments on projects and tasks.- Using SOAR products for the automation of security incidents, while using case/playbook development for an automated SOC operation.- Facilitate automation use cases requirements and integration design with automation stakeholders- Ensuring the automation use cases tested, delivered and sign-off for production

About you:
- Strong leadership skills in building and maturing team capability.- Demonstrated ability to take ownership of problems and being able to drive security outcomes making the appropriate tradeoffs.- Ability to adapt, change and prioritize a large amount of requests to business needs and requirements.- Experience in the Cyber Security Operations' Security Orchestration Automation and Response (SOAR) OR DevOps.- Highly regarded, not mandatory - Expertise in Azure IaaS,PaaS,SaaS components.- Python programming language experience is required. It is central to the automation platform in use.- Highly regarded, not mandatory - Good hands-on experience in scripting with shell scripting, Powershell, Terraform, Azure CLI.- Understanding of GitOps, Agile and DevOps practices.- Previous experience desirable but not mandatory: security monitoring, incident response, threat intel, DevOps, DevSecOps.
