The Security Automation team is a newly created unit within Cybersecurity, tasked with identifying opportunities for automation within the wider Cybersecurity team context. This includes managing, maintaining, and uplifting existing security tooling, as well as assisting with developing new capabilities.

About the Role
  • Drive incrementation and transformational change to mature the cyber security automation capability through the delivery of key services, technologies, and processes.
  • Nurture and provide leadership to direct reports within the team.
  • Maintain and provide continual improvement across a wide array of existing security tooling.
  • Attend and conduct technical workshops with stakeholders to identify and implement automation opportunities.
  • Design, maintain, and manage tools for automation of different operational processes.
  • Liaise with internal departments on projects and tasks.
  • Use SOAR products for the automation of repetitive processes in helping analysts achieve efficiencies in triage and analysis, guided by SOC operational playbooks for automated SOC operations.
Requirements
  • Strong leadership skills in building and maturing team capability.
  • Demonstrated ability to take ownership of problems and drive security outcomes by making appropriate tradeoffs.
  • Ability to adapt, change, and prioritize a large amount of requests to business needs and requirements.
  • Experience in Cyber Security Operations' Security Orchestration Automation and Response (SOAR) or DevOps.
  • Highly regarded: expertise in Azure IaaS, PaaS, SaaS components.
  • Python programming language experience required.
  • Good hands-on experience in scripting with shell scripting, PowerShell, Terraform, Azure CLI highly regarded.
  • Understanding of GitOps, Agile, and DevOps practices.
  • Previous experience desirable but not mandatory: security monitoring, incident response, threat intel, DevOps, DevSecOps.
