OverviewWhittens is an Australian owned and operated multidisciplinary civil construction company with over 22 years of experience across Western Australia, New South Wales, Queensland, Northern Territory and South Australia.
The role is for a FIFO Project Civil Engineer on a large infrastructure project in remote New South Wales, with a 2/1 FIFO roster from Melbourne, Sydney or Brisbane.The role reports to the Project Manager and involves working on complex FRP and associated civil works.ResponsibilitiesInterpreting specifications, drafting and maintaining drawings and plans, construction methods and proceduresUnderstanding the scope of work, specifications, work plans and drawings and advising on engineering solutions to meet project needs and budgetCreating work programs for allocated work packages including large concrete poursLogistical management of equipment and materials and ensuring complianceIdentifying variations in work packages and submitting for reviewPlanning and cost controlPreparing and reviewing internal ITPs, forms and checklists for client approvalAbout You / QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction ManagementAt least 5 years postgraduate experience with large FRP infrastructure projectsExperience with Underground tunnelling projects is highly regardedExperience with planning software and MS SuiteExcellent written and spoken communication skillsWhat We OfferBase salary $120k–$155k plus 30% site uplift plus super, paid weeklyOpportunities to work with engaged leaders and collaborative teamsHigh-performance, safety-focused culturePaid Parental LeaveNovated lease optionTransfer of employment visa in countryLong-term permanent role with opportunities on a range of long-term projects across AustraliaWhittens is committed to workplace diversity.
