**Role & Responsibilities**

Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary are seeking an experienced First Aider to join our team on a seasonal casual role. This exciting integral role will see you form part of the operations team where you will be required to have expertise in administering First Aid treatment to park guests and be required to complete medical reports on all patients. You will be required to ensure guests are provided with exceptional professional service in a family friendly safe Sanctuary environment.

You will be an enthusiastic and have a proactive attitude and flexible working approach including weekend work, combined with the ability to interact effectively with people in an outdoor team environment, with the willingness to learn and expand your abilities every day.

**Your key focus areas in this role are as follows**
- Providing first aid to injured or unwell guests
- Completing injury reports on all patients
- Ensuring that all medical supplies and equipment are maintained
- Working in all outdoor weather conditions, including hot and cold climates

**Selection Criteria**:

- Have at least 3 years' experience in similar first aid environment
- Have a current Working with Children Check or willingness to obtain
- Demonstrated computer literacy in excel, word and outlook
- An ability to exert a calm authority in medical emergencies
- Be safety conscious and have a strong guest services focus
- Ability to work as part of the team and individually
- Maintain records confidentially
- Effective written & verbal communications skills
- Understand and comply with Workplace Health and Safety standard
- Have a high level of professional personal presentation

**Essential Qualifications**:

- HLTAID009 - Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation
- HLTAID010 - Provide basic emergency life support
- HLTAID011 - Provide First Aid

The role requires roster flexibility during the parks operating season with work hours required on weekends and public holidays.
