This is a multifaceted end to end supplier role encompassing supplier partnerships working with multiple business stakeholders for business development and other key supplier relations initiatives.

The role
- The supplier optimization role develops relationships with a specific focus on strategic supplier partnerships and executing
- Manage the delivery of the supplier value proposition, building strategies to support negotiations in close collaboration with the Supplier Management Team
- Drive Increased Revenue: identify, sell, and drive execution of additional supplier revenue opportunities
- Responsible for broadening / deepening total revenue
- Track & report portfolio performance
- Manage regional and global partnerships with strategic partners
- Negotiate supplier participation/sponsorship in key events and to deliver media revenues suing the GBT advertising channels
- Collaborate cross functionally and cross regionally with Traveller Care, Client Management, Sales, Revenue Management, Meetings & Events, Consulting to align strategies, drive engagement and optimize results
- Monitor travel industry landscape and ensure GBT & Supplier Revenue partnerships are best positioned to capitalize on any opportunities that deliver revenue to GBT & deliver customer value.

Competencies
- Consultative selling & negotiation skills, ability to demonstrate that you can work with suppliers to interact on data driven opportunities that will allow GBT and the supplier to grow sales volumes
- Formidable team player and influencer. Gains buy-in and engagement (internally and externally) through collaboration and strong stakeholder management skills.
- High degree of analytical acumen with a commercial mind set with proven ability to translate data into conclusions and actionable recommendations with suppliers.
- Intuitive understanding of technology - GDS, Point of Sale tools, online booking tools
- Strong oral and written communications skills including aptitude for formal presentations.
- Excellent relationship building, collaboration and influencing skills at all levels.
- A thorough understanding and knowledge of the travel and/or travel supplier industry highly desirable
- Excellent Power BI, Power Point and excel skills
- Outcome orientated with proven record of accomplishment in driving best in class results
- Persevere in the face of adversity, always seeking to make the best of any given situation
