**Head of Public Relations for Australia & New Zealand on a permanent part time (3 days per week or equivalent) contract.**

**About the role**

**Reporting to the Regional Marketing Director you will be responsible for providing direction and management of the in-house PR team to deliver business PR goals.**

**On a day to day basis you will be**:

- Overseeing the PR plans across ANZ, providing strategic advice and support to ensure our stories are driving demand or building brand awareness
- Ensure annual PR plans are in line with central brand marketing plans and that all communication is in line with brand guidelines and the overall business strategy
- Leading the ANZ Public Relations team including ongoing training and development, management of each direct report's development plans and any other staff management needs that arise
- Managing and developing relationships with external suppliers and partners
- Encouraging creativity in an in-house PR environment via creative thought sessions, trend discussions and keeping on the pulse with industry updates
- Overseeing the PR budgets, and creating internal reports

**About You**

**A passion for travel and tourism is essential for any of our roles, and to truly shine in this position you will also have**:

- A degree or similar qualification in communications or marketing
- Roughly seven years' experience in a similar role, either in-house or in an agency
- Demonstrated ability to lead, manage and develop a team to achieve positive business outcomes
- A thorough understanding of the Australian and New Zealand media landscape
- Demonstrated creative ability and innovation to drive effective PR campaigns across a broad range of media
- Strategic thinking and demonstrated experience in developing and driving media and external relations strategies that elevate reputation
- Ability to influence, advocate and advise across all levels of the organisation with excellent communication skills, establishing credibility with internal and external stakeholders
- Exceptional written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to use strong discretion and judgement in a unique business structure
- Budget management skills and the ability to report all records of expenditure on a monthly basis
