**About the role**

Our client is looking for Development Team Lead to join their ride. They want thinkers and problem solvers, who celebrate diversity and thrive in a collaborative team environment to join their talented product teams and help transform the lives of teachers, students and parents all over the world through their software.

You'll work as part of a fun, hardworking product team who take ownership of their work and love to celebrate successfully delivering wins for their customers and for the team.

**Responsibilities**
- Lead a team that designs, develops, and maintains secure, scalable software that's used by thousands of customers all over the world
- Constantly evolve your team's technical capabilities by ensuring they are up to date with modern engineering practices
- Inspire quality and best practices by championing software craftsmanship, clean code, and pair programming
- Build great relationships with your team, be generous with your thoughts and feedback and be open about receiving it
- Meet regularly with your team members to provide performance feedback, career development, coaching, and mentoring
- Manage the capacity and velocity of your team, conducting recruitment tasks when needed
- Own the teams' responsibility to ensure customers receive uninterrupted service and an overall positive experience using the software
- Foster a culture of openness and engagement to ensure that all team members are heard equally, feel appreciated, and are committed to driving the success of your software
- Talk to and understand our customers and collaborate with product owners and designers on shaping our products to help solve their problems
- Work closely with the General Manager to ensure your team has the capacity to reach their goals and support our architectural vision
- Contribute to our diverse and inclusive culture and take pride in doing work that is truly impactful and makes a real difference
- Conduct daily scrum calls with the team
- Working closely with Developers and Product Managers in requirements and providing project estimates and timelines
- Overseeing deployments and new releases
- Identifying and removing bottlenecks that impede the progress of project deliverables
- Solving issues and developing workarounds and alternative solutions
- Ensuring the regular delivery of project deliverables in accordance with Agile methodologies
- Collaborate and Work with other Development Team Leads as and when required for the project
- Define both technical and functional processes as needed to adhere to enterprise standards

**Key Skills**
- Experienced in developing and delivering software using Agile methodologies
- Passionate about software development and actively keeps up to date with new tech

- Real-world experience in object-oriented programming languages (eg C#, Java, C++)
- Real-world experience in frontend Javascript, libraries, and frameworks (eg Javascript, HTML, CSS, React, Typescript)
- Previously worked with SQL/NoSQL databases and is comfortable designing and implementing database solutions
- Spring framework, Microservices, and ORM technologies experience
