Overview
Mandeville Recruitment is representing a leading brand in the bathroom and home improvement space.
We are seeking a Showroom Sales Consultant/Showroom Sales Manager to take ownership of a premium bathroom showroom, providing expert service to both trade and retail customers.
LOCATION: INVERNESS.
Salary £32K-£34K OTE £6K minimum.
This role is ideal for someone with a background in retail, trade counter, home improvement, furniture sales, or sales, and offers a fantastic career change opportunity for those looking to step into design and interiors.
Full training will be provided, including CAD bathroom design software guidance.
If you are creative, customer-focused, and have a passion for interiors or home improvement, this is your chance to learn a new skillset and grow within a well-supported, professional environment.
Hours are structured to balance retail needs, typically Monday to Friday 8am – 5pm with 3 Saturdays a month or 2; you will receive a half day back in the weekday and a monthly commission up to £6k minimum.
This is a unique opportunity to step into a design-focused sales role, gain new technical skills, and become part of a dynamic and supportive team.
Responsibilities
Run the day-to-day operations of the bathroom showroom
Manage the full customer journey from enquiry to sale
Advise on products, design, and layout with CAD training provided
Build lasting relationships with retail and trade customers (installers, plumbers, homeowners)
Promote the showroom locally to increase awareness and drive footfall
Collaborate with the wider branch team (including trade counter and management)
Own the showroom's performance, stock, layout, and P&L responsibilities
Who We're Looking For
Background in retail, DIY/home improvement, trade counters, or customer-facing sales
Confident communicator who can work independently and as part of a team
Motivated by customer experience, sales targets, and learning new skills
Proactive in networking and building a local customer base
Enthusiastic, adaptable, and keen to develop in a new career path
Design or interiors interest is a bonus but not essential
