
Compliance Supervisor

- Drive change and provide advice to key stakeholders to manage compliance
We are currently seeking a part time Compliance Supervisor to ensure policy and procedures remain up to date and compliant, including Occupational Health & Safety practices and Child Safe Standards. The Compliance Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the School's compliance processes are implemented and adhered to, and for coordinating and administering compliance training requirements for all staff at Firbank Grammar.
**Key Result Areas**:
**Compliance**
- Ensure compliance and prioritisation of Child Safety Standards, including training and education of Staff
- Maintain the Policy Register ensuring an accurate upkeep of School policies and procedures
- Organise staff training on new policies and updates as appropriate
**Occupational Health and Safety**
- Develop and provide training for staff
- Conduct OH&S inductions for new staff and contractors
- Interpret, communicate, and implement OH&S legislation, codes of practice and relevant standards
- Together with the Heads of Campuses, oversee the School's Emergency Management Plan ensuring emergency and evacuation procedures, practices and guidelines are regularly updated and embedded across the School
- Attend OH&S Meetings, take minutes and distributed accordingly following the meeting
**Injury Prevention/Management**
- Develop and implement OH&S inspection and management audit tools and implement an audit schedule for each Campus
- Assist in injury prevention through the implementation of risk management activities
- Oversee the worksafe process for injured staff, including assisting staff in raising claims, manage ongoing claims, oversee return-to-work obligations
**Required Experience**
- Knowledge of Child Safety and OH&S standards.
- Effective time management skills with the ability to prioritise a range of tasks.
- Proven capacity to innovate and to manage complex projects efficiently.
- Ability to initiate procedural improvements and develop sound internal systems.
- Experience in exercising discretion and sound judgement when handling confidential and sensitive matters.
- Commitment to meeting quality standards, and the willingness to update their skills and knowledge on a regular basis.
- Be well organised and highly proficient in Word, Powerpoint and Excel with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A current Working with Children Check.
