**Training Coordinator**
It's not every day you have the opportunity to be in involved in the start-up of a new mineTo make your mark
and be there from the beginning. Well, here is that long-awaited, rare opportunity to do just that - a Greenfield
mine in the Hunter Valley with all the associated excitement of building and being part of something new.

The Maxwell Underground Mine, owned by Malabar Resources Ltd has commenced construction with
production planned of up to 8 million tonnes of coal per annum. With a long life, the underground mine targets
high quality coal, with the majority being metallurgical coal.

Reporting to the Health Safety Environment and Community Manager; the role will primarily be responsible for
developing and maintaining a site training system and ensuring that all training procedures are compliant with
legislative requirements to support operations.

**Key Objectives of the Role**:

- Develop, implement and maintain a comprehensive Order 34 compliant training scheme for the

Maxwell UG Project to manage, as far as reasonably practicable, all aspects of training and
competency management at the mine.
- Build relationships with management teams to ensure a proactive approach is adopted to manage the

end-to-end training process, and training is factored into mobilisations, incident learnings,
implementation of new equipment, systems, and processes.
- Support and assist workforce in the implementation of training systems and processes.
- Demonstrate visible leadership across all levels and operations of the company to promote safety and

competency.
**Job Tasks and Responsibilities**:
As the Longwall Electrical Engineer, some of the duties will include:

- Establish and oversee the implementation of the training competency management scheme.
- Development of internal training packages to industry standard.
- Facilitate delivery of training and assessment in classroom, field based and online environments.
- Provide mentoring and technical guidance on training, competency and authorisation processes.
- Coaching and mentoring workplace trainer and assessors.
- Coordinating training needs analysis for all employees.
- Collate and analyse training data to maintain compliance with skills matrix and training needs analysis

and prepare monthly performance reports.
- Help develop a safety cultural that supports the company's values.
