Aussie Life Care (ALC) is a passionate Registered NDIS provider dedicated to empowering individuals with disabilities to lead independent lives and achieve their personal goals. We're currently seeking enthusiastic and compassionate Casual Bank Support Workers to join our team in Melton.
**About the Role**
We are seeking individuals to join our team as **Disability Support Workers**. In this flexible role, you will be provided the opportunity to **provide backup coverage** for shifts when required.
As a Casual Bank Disability Support Worker with ALC, you'll play an integral role in supporting our participants to live independent and fulfilling lives. You'll assist individuals with a variety of services and provide meaningful participation opportunities, promoting social inclusion, goal achievement, and the development of essential life skills. Your day-to-day tasks may include:
- **Handling participants with mental and behavioral issues**:
- Providing domestic and personal care
- Transportation assistance to help participants engage in the community
- Medication management and assistance with daily routines
- Helping participants build on their strengths and reach their personal goals
- Promoting community participation and involvement in group centre activities
- Assisting with the use of hoists (training provided)
**Skills & Experience**
To be successful in this role, you must meet the following requirements:
- Background in **Mental Health**and **Behavioral Issues**:
- **Excellent English communication skills**:
- Current Police Check, Working with Children Check, NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Current Victorian Driver's License and own a car with Registration and Insurance
- Current First Aid and CPR training
- Completion of the NDIS Orientation Module
- A Certificate III in Individual Support (preferred)
- Strong communication skills and a commitment to exceptional support
