Accounts Officer

We are seeking a motivated and passionate individual with experience in a similar role to join our Jetstar division in **Coolangatta** on **full-time** basis. As a **Accounts Officer**, you will have a can-do attitude, an aptitude with numbers, keen eye for detail and a willingness to learn.

**What does a typical day look like?**

As Accounts Officer for the Jetstar Division you will be responsible for processing supplier and caterer's invoices ensuring accurate costs and coding and assist the Finance team with any accounts related queries.

**What are your responsibilities?**
- Provide internal checking on all catering documentation supplied and identifies discrepancies / inconsistencies
- Address discrepancies / inconsistencies with suppliers and caterers and ensures follow up in a timely manner
- Ensure accurate supplier invoice processing
- Ensure correct approval process when processing invoices and accurate coding of costs at all time
- Ensure accurate supplier statement reconciliation and liaise with suppliers to query pricing
- Ensure supplier statements are reconciled in a timely manner, on a regular basis
- Ensure queries are raised for out of balance amounts on supplier statements and all copies of invoices are received in current month
- Maintain master price lists for all catering suppliers
- Review and ensure supplier credits and discounts are received
- Ensure that Accounts Payable records are appropriately kept to comply with legislation and are accessible
- Administer payments and remittances according to company policy and agreed terms
- Assist with month end reporting and year end audits
- Prepare monthly accounts payable related accruals summaries and participating in regular internal security audits
- Develop effective internal and external relationships to foster a productive and friendly work environment
- Provide analytical support for internal and external stakeholders as required
- Role model dnata catering values: safety and security, performance driven, delighting customers, imagination, respect and service excellence
- Contribute to a safety first environment and work within Workplace Health and Safety policies, procedures and guidelines at all times.
- Have complete understanding of and adhere to dnata catering policies and procedures
- Carry out additional duties as may be reasonably requested by Senior Management

**What do you need to be successful in securing this role?**
- Demonstrated success in a similar role
- Experience in Accounting ideally with both Accounts Receivable / Accounts Payable
- Ability to work in a team as well as independently
- Accuracy and very high attention to detail
- Good phone manner & communication skills
- Ability to solve problems
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Demonstrates strong organisational / time management skills
- Ability to handle challenging situations with tact and diplomacy
- Demonstrated ability to work with a diverse group of stakeholders in a high volume, high value environment
- Sound knowledge of the catering industry would be a plus
