**About the Role**
The Communications & Public Relations Manager plays a pivotal role in developing and implementing strategic communications that engage the community, clients, employees, and stakeholders. This role ensures Amana Living's reputation as a trusted aged care provider is upheld and strengthened through clear, impactful, and meaningful messaging.
**Key Responsibilities**
**1. Develop Communication Strategies and Plans**
- Design and execute high-impact communication strategies that align with Amana Living's mission, brand, and marketing initiatives.
- Identify key audience segments within the community and tailor messages to their specific needs.
- Define project timelines and plan resources to ensure timely execution.
**2. Community Engagement & Public Relations**
- Build and maintain strong relationships with media outlets and community organisations to promote a positive perception of aged care.
- Develop engaging content for media, social media, and community outreach programs.
- Organise and support PR and experiential events to increase Amana Living's visibility and engagement.
**3. Digital & Social Media Communication**
- Create compelling website and social media content in collaboration with the marketing team.
- Understand the consumer journey and craft informative messaging, including FAQs and educational materials.
**4. Brand Reputation & Internal Communications**
- Ensure all communication materials reflect Amana Living's values, vision, and mission.
- Support internal communications by crafting messages for employees that align with our organisational culture and goals.
- Provide communication support for the CEO, executives, and board members, including speech writing and internal messaging.
**5. Corporate Publications & Media Management**
- Develop and manage Amana Living's publications, such as newsletters and annual reports.
- Prepare media kits, press releases, and proactive media pitches to enhance brand credibility.
- Handle media inquiries, including crisis communications and responses to negative publicity.
**6. Data & Insights for Continuous Improvement**
- Utilise data to gain insights into community perceptions of aged care and adjust messaging accordingly.
- Measure and analyse the effectiveness of communication campaigns, optimising strategies based on key learnings.
**About You**
**Skills, Knowledge & Abilities**
- Proven experience in developing and executing community-focused communication strategies.
- Exceptional writing and editing skills to craft clear, compelling, and impactful messages for diverse audiences.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively across different teams and departments.
- Strong organisational and time management skills to lead communication initiatives effectively.
- Experience in managing public relations, media relations, and crisis communication.
- A creative approach to storytelling and community engagement.
- Understanding of digital communication trends, including social media and online content management.
**ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS**
- Proof of current influenza and Covid-19 vaccinations as per Amana Living policies
- National Police Clearance Certificate (no older than 6 months)
- Successful completion of pre-employment form and reference checks
- Current Drivers Licence
