Draft and distribute press releases, media statements, and other public relations materials.
Manage relationships with media outlets and respond to media inquiries.
Coordinate internal and external communications to ensure consistency in messaging.
Collaborate with the marketing team to produce engaging content across digital and traditional platforms.
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of communication strategies and suggest improvements.
Support event planning and promotional activities to enhance public engagement.
Ensure all communications align with the organisation's values and objectives.
The Successful ApplicantA successful applicant should have: A degree or equivalent qualification in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field.
Proven experience in public relations, media liaison, or communications roles.
Strong writing and editing skills with attention to detail.
Knowledge of the not-for-profit industry and its unique communication needs.
Experience working with remote Indigenous communities highly regarded.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
Proficiency in using communication tools and platforms, including social media.
