About the Opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity for a Educational Psychologist to join St Columba College. The Educational Psychologist will determine priorities and practices that enhance student wellbeing, safety, and learning outcomes.
Your Responsibilities:
Assess, screen, and identify mental health, cognitive, and behavioural concerns in students using appropriate, evidence-informed assessment tools.
Develop support plans based on assessment outcomes and refer students to external services and specialists when required.
Design and facilitate evidence-based programs and professional learning for staff and students that build social-emotional skills, resilience, and mental health literacy.
Apply and promote best-practice approaches in psychological and counselling services within an educational setting.
About You:
Post-secondary qualifications in Psychology or similar.
The role will be appointed as Educational Psychologist or Counsellor, depending on the qualifications and registration of the successful applicant.
Willingness to participate in and be a member of relevant counselling organisations.
High level interpersonal skills to interact positively with the school community and be a positive role model and professional representative.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and able to work collaboratively within a team environment.
Willingness to actively and positively uphold and contribute to the culture and ethos of the College.
The successful candidates will be required to undergo our screening process, which includes a Working with Children Check, E-Screen, Applicant Declaration Form and RHAN.
