**About the Company**

Davidson is the preferred supplier for the government sector and have strong partnerships within local, state and federal government. We currently have an opportunity for a Planning Approvals Officer to commence a temporary 6 contract with the possibility of an extension.

**About the Role**

You will provide professional services and support, to achieve on-time delivery of approvals and advice. The role will work within both the development and delivery phases of projects.
- Support communication and negotiation with local, state and commonwealth regulators to ensure our clients interests and outcomes are achieved.

**About You**
- Tertiary qualifications in a related Environmental Science or Engineering discipline
- Knowledge and experience of the Queensland Planning Act 2016 development framework and associated development assessment processes
- Knowledge of publicly available Environment, Heritage and Land-Use Planning reports and mapping
- Internal stakeholder engagement and communications skills (verbal and written), with the ability to listen, formulate plans and respond meaningfully

**Highly desirable**
- 1 to 2 years of professional experience in town/urban planning or environmental planning and regulation.
- Experience in supporting delivery of environmental impact assessments and approvals.
- Experience in sourcing publicly available Environment, Heritage and Land-Use Planning reports and mapping to build an initial due diligence assessment.
- Experience working within a project team for planning and delivery of water or similar built infrastructure.
- Knowledge and experience with using spatial mapping software to interrogate project impacts (e.g., ArcGIS, Mapinfo, QGIS).
- Post graduate qualifications in a complimentary discipline e.g., Land Use Planning, Environment, Heritage or Property related.
- Unrestricted 'C' Class Drivers Licence.
