**Job Description**:
The Position

The Area Manager - Utilities and Reagents reports to the Project Manager - Utilities and Reagents and as part of the Project Delivery Team, is both responsible and accountable for their assigned area within the K3 / K4 Kemerton Expansion scope.

Key Responsibilities
- Drive a safety-first culture and ensure appropriate focus on HSEC across all work fronts and packages.
- Work collaboratively with the EPCM, Albemarle Delivery / Operations, and Construction Contractors to meet the schedule, quality, and cost objectives of the project.
- Drive effective execution of the engineering, design, procurement, construction and commissioning activities through the EPCM and contractors.
- Work with cross functional teams to manage/clarify project scope, goals, and deliverables with the EPCM that support Albemarle global objectives.
- Coordinate resource requirements and project execution activities with the EPCM focusing on best for project approach.
- Ensure all technical documents are reviewed and approved at the appropriate levels and input is incorporated.
- Identify and analyze any design or scope changes to ensure necessity and manage through the project management of change system and the EPCM.
- Ensure compliance with company procedures, project documentation requirements, Australian and International Standards and specifications.
- Oversee timely and accurate cost and schedule reporting from EPCM.
- Maintain a full overview of contractual matters and guide the EPCM and project team to ensure appropriate close out of such matters.
- Ensure an accurate risk register has been establish for each package and area in your responsibility and actively manage such risks to eliminate and/or minimize risk exposure for the Company.
- Training project team members where required and closely cooperate with peers.

Work Experience / Technical Skill Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in process (refining, petrochemical, chemical) or mining industries. It is preferred that the experience is a mix of time in office as well as time in a plant, manufacturing and/or major project construction environment.
- Minimum 5 years of management or supervisory experience in an Owner organization
- Must be able to travel as needed to support project activities - approximately 3 days site based per week
- Experience with contracting methodologies, contract documents, contract management processes ideally within a multi-discipline construction environment
- Strong management skills
- Sound knowledge of project sequencing and deliverables required during the planning, design and construction phases of a project

Education / Qualification Requirements
- Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management and/or applicable course of study or equivalent work experience
