- Ability to use repair tools and test equipment

Job Duties:

- Set up and calibrate electronics systems by following schematics and diagrams
- Troubleshoot problems with electronics and make necessary repairs
- Conduct service checks and perform routine maintenance to keep electronics functioning properly
- Communicate with operators, engineers and inspectors to understand problems and provide progress updates
- Give demonstrations on the safe use, operation and maintenance of equipment
- Order or produce parts needed to make repairs and complete maintenance
- Maintain logs that provide dates and details of repairs and maintenance performed
- Adhere to health and safety rules and regulations

General Responsibilities:
To perform all trade related tasks associated with the maintenance and repair of electronic devices in military vehicles, plants and equipment. Diagnose faults and repair electronic devices.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

- Knowledge of electronic systems and ability to read schematics/diagrams
- Troubleshooting and critical thinking skills
- Ability to use repair tools and test equipment
- Communication and documentation skills
- Adherence to safety procedures

Mandatory Checks:

- Recognised Trade Certificate III of proficiency (Electro-technology)
- However, anyone with relevant qualifications & experience working with electronics or radios will be considered

Mandatory Experience & Skills:

- Demonstrated ability to inspect, diagnose, repair and maintain radios, optical instruments, navigational aids, laser range finding equipment, medical and dental equipment, electro-optical/ electro-hydraulic/ electro-mechanical systems, radar systems, electronic vehicle control systems and electronic surveillance and detection systems
- Possess equivalent qualification to safely operate and maintain Automated Test Equipment
- Demonstrated ability and experience to maintain and repair and calibrate (i.e. gauges, binoculars, compasses).

Optional but Not Required:

- ADF DPN/DRN and MILIS maintenance profiles highly desirable

38 Hour week :, Unless OT specifically requested
- Monday to Thursday: 06.45 - 15.30
- Friday EKO : 07.00 - 12.00
