The Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (Ahpra) works in partnership with 15 National Boards to implement the national regulatory scheme for health professionals. The purpose of health practitioner regulation is to protect the public by ensuring that only health practitioners who have the skills, qualifications, and knowledge to provide safe care are registered.

**This is a full time, fixed term position up to 31 December 2026 with a preference to be located in our Melbourne office.**

**About you**

You will have high level analytical and conceptual skills that enable you to assess evidence and drive projects as well as provide insightful reporting on complex issues. You will possess advanced skills in written communication and have successfully written comprehensive reports, providing formal recommendations. With excellent time management and organisational skills, you will bring your ability to prioritise workloads and meet time critical targets in a fast-paced setting. - Contribute to the development and provision of consistent and high-quality advice on governance matters to the National Board, its committees, and advisory groups.
- Prepare agenda and policy papers, briefings, and correspondence for the National Board and Executive Officer, while working with the Senior Policy and Project Officers, Psychology to manage key projects for the National Board.
- Build strong working relationships with National Board members, providing accurate advice and responding to feedback. You will also suggest ways to improve processes, systems, and procedures in governance and policy services.
