The Principal Policy Officer will contribute to leading implementation of the National Redress Scheme for people who have experienced institutional child sexual abuse in Victoria (the Scheme). They will work within a small team and with key internal and external stakeholders to support the redress policy and Victorian Government Direct Personal Response (DPR) and counselling and psychological care (CPC) service program design and implementation. The Principal Policy Officer will also undertake work to further develop policy, programs and services for people who have been impacted by the experience of institutional care as children and safeguard those currently in care. This includes leading the further design and implementation of the redeveloped CPC service in Victoria.
ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE
1. Manage and oversee the full life cycle of projects to meet departmental objectives including:

- Leading research, analysis and implementation of complex projects based on defined outcomes and outputs.
- Managing and overseeing projects or sub-projects and being accountable for the successful delivery and completion of the projects/sub-projects within resourcing, timeline and budget parameters.
- Monitoring and evaluating projects to ensure departmental objectives are met.

2. Provide leadership, guidance and authoritative advice to internal and external stakeholders and prepare and present detailed, comprehensive reports, ministerial briefs, cabinet, and agency submissions on complex matters.
3. Pro-actively build and maintain positive relationships with key stakeholders to facilitate a partnership approach.
